Susan Johnson

Originally from California, Susan Johnson received a fine arts degree from UCLA many years ago. Since relocating to Georgia 25 years ago, she has been painting whenever she could – a single mother struggling to survive.

In 2003 the time was finally right for her to focus more on her art and try to find her place in the art world.

The sky, the earth and the beauty of nature are her inspiration.  She sees patterns of light and color and texture that exude the truth of life –the sacredness of all that is. It is this life force that she attempts to capture on canvas.

Susan prefers a more abstract rather than a realistic style because the abstract sets one’s imagination free and allows the spirit to respond freely.

Life on earth is an experience of the senses. Susan believes that God’s only requirement of us is to experience what has been created fully and give it back in prayer –

... her art is her prayer.
