Wood carving took up a large
part of his middle years,
until his hands gave out.

Then he put pen to paper and found his stride.
He could not be still without “Doodling”
as he called it. Thousands of black lines
on white paper. they became
a form of meditations for him.

It was early in 2003 he saw the gourd art
of Vincent Vangourd
and knew he had to try this art form.
Thus was born Gourdzooks.
