Artist Statement

". . . The new artists portray emotions independent of real life physical objects. The future artists,
of which I am one, portray the truth of the real regardless of beauty through copying the patterns
that repeat in nature. The patterns are remarkably true to nature though the image is not realism -
but could be. The image mimics reality in feeling and pattern, but does not have the all too overdone
look that our conscious mind is used to seeing. By showing us what is truly there, but in a way not
consciously observed, the artist extends the definition of reality beyond the image we are accustomed
to seeing . . ."
