Helen DeRamus is an accomplished artist working in both encaustic and oil paint. Her lyrical drawings and color rich abstract paintings have been shown in more than a hundred solo, juried and collective exhibits throughout the United States and Canada. Included are exhibits at the Montgomery Museum, Mobile College, Shorter College, and most recently in the Sixth International Biennial Exhibition “Encaustic Works 2007” in Kingston, New York and Muncie, Indiana.

                                            

Helen’s artwork is in private, corporate, and public collections including: North Georgia College and State University, Perimeter College, Kennestone Hospital, Livingston College, the Fulton County Arts Council and the Art Station in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

 

Helen studied with the painter, Joseph Perrin and Gerald Samuels and holds a B.A. degree from Emory University in art history and history.
