Christie Vergona

Christie Vergona is currently a senior in high school, and has been making pottery since the year 2000, but creating and enjoying art since her early childhood. While starting as only a hobby, she has fallen in love with ceramics in her seven years of study, and plans to continue as she attends art school following graduation. The combination of colors is most important as she finishes her pieces, taking nature as an inspiration for her earth-toned works. She lived on the outskirts of New York City before moving to Georgia, and believes her early exposure to the art and culture spurred her devotion to art at such a young age. Sabra Gallery is the first major gallery to feature the young artist’s work, though she has been displayed at the Hudgens Center and a few other local establishments closer to her suburban home. In addition to pottery, Christie also draws and paints, specializing in portraiture.
